Zimbabwe

Dear fellow Rotarians,

The Orange Rotary Club partnered with Giving Children Hope, an international medical development charity based in Orange County, back in 2006 to establish a medical clinic in Zimbabwe. I’m sure you’ve heard in the news about the recent outbreak of cholera. The situation in Zimbabwe is dire, and the Rotarians there need assistance ASAP!

The Orange Rotary Club has again partnered with Giving Children Hope. This time we will ship cholera medicines that are desperately needed in our three clinics. It only costs 22 cents to save a life in Zimbabwe. We need the Rotary Clubs in District 5320 to join with the Orange Rotary Club and Giving Children Hope to help our Rotary Clinics in Zimbabwe. We will be sending over two million dollars worth of pharmaceuticals at the end of this month that will treat 80,000 people, but that is only a fraction of what is needed. We desperately need your help to continue this effort.

Please join us in helping raise funds. You can see the full story on the Giving Children Hope website at:

You can see video of the Orange Rotary Club talking about the project and the Huntington Beach Rotary Club discussing their involvement.. The Orange Rotary Club challenges your Rotary Club to please give TODAY. In the spirit of Christmas, when it only takes 22 cents to save a life, we hope that this Christmas you too will think about Service Above Self and make your International funds available to ship life-saving medicines to Rotarians for distribution in Zimbabwe.
